I have a Badger that is tearing up some of our land and I see him from time to time. Anyways, I really want to send an arrow through him. Does anyone out there have any Badger bowhunting tips to give me. You southern Alberta boys should have some experiences. Let me know!

Put your face right by the hole and make badger noises. Once he comes out to investigate, grab him with your teeth and fling him 20 yards. Draw and shoot with a good broadhead.

Have you tried shooting some arrows down the hole? It will piss him off and he will come out. Stand behind the hole at full draw and when he comes out nail him. that should work.

I've shot a few over the years using this method both with a 22 rifle and with a bow. Sounds kind of goofy, buts it's rather easy, all you do is run up to the hole right after they go down, a badger will almost always turn around and peer out from the safe confines inside his hole. You will have to shoot him in the head but thats the only way to keep your arrow and be able to retrieve your badger anyway. Good luck, it's worked for me.

I don't know about Alberta but here in Manitoba they are considered fur bearing animals and I don't think they can legally be shot at this time of year. May be different out there though.
