Hey Sir Huntsalot,
I saw on one of you previous posts ( Fall Colors) that you used to live in New Brinswick. Where abouts ?

I lived 20 minites west of Fredericton just a couple miles out route 3 from the truckers weigh station. Went to school out in Harvey.

Harvey...hmmm, don't know too many folks from Harvey. Know some lads from the McAdam Region though...JP and George Astorino, Jody McKinnon, Al Nason.
My name is Richard Hooper, originally from Saint John, work in Oromocto now with the Air Force. Saw your comments on the other forum...yes the deer hunting is tough here lately. Still manage to put one in the freezer every year except last, but it is downright work to find a set of horns these days. I hunt average 3 nights a week after work, and every Saturday...saw over 40 does, fawns, and spikes within 30 yards last fall...but not a single buck ! Thats's a pretty good indication of the balance of our deer heard. Easy pickin's if your lucky enough to get drawn for a doe permit ( although only about 2500 for the entire Province !) but a different ball game if your a bucks only licenece holder.
Nice chatting with you. Looking forward to hunting in the Land Of Plenty this fall in Alberta. Should be a great experience even if I come home empty handed.
