Hey all,

As you not recognize my signature block, I'm the newest member on this site. My name is Richard and I call Fredericton New Brunswick home. Obviously I am a fanatical deer hunter, otherwise I wouldn't be on this site at 1230 AM in June !!

I am planning a trip to Cold Lake this fall to bowhunt whitetails with some freinds in the military. Any of you folks hunted up that way before in early October ? Just trying to get a feel for what to expect i.e temperatures, terrain, wooded or mostly farmland? One of the few places I have not been in Canada is northern Alberta, at least not past Edmonton.

Any info on that area would be great. My buds have been there a couple of years and send photo's back each fall of some awesome deer...so this year I figured I'd "Go West" and get my own darn photo's, as well as put some of that prime Alberta Whitetail venison in my New Brunswick deep freeze.

Well, let me be the first to welcome you to the site! I haven't hunted up there myself, but I know a few of the members here are from that area and should be able to help ya.
