I'll have to drop down there and check it out. They've got 5 pages of broadheads on their website, but not the Slick Tricks. But then I'm pretty sure updating the website isn't one of Al's favorite pasttimes.

Yeah, sometimes the new toys can be hard to find up here in the Great White North.
I sent off an e-mail to Slick Trick, maybe they'll know of a local dealer.
So, what part of the States are you from??

Thanks for the offer. I got an answer from Slick Trick, and it seems that the Alberta Bow Company has 'em. They're located in Bow Island which is a fair ways S.E. of here. Gives me a good reason to do some scouting in the area.
Pennsylvania is a nice area. I spent a couple of weeks in Pittsburg about 4 years ago. Had a great time. I was totally impressed with the strings of barges they move on the rivers there. I heard there's some fine deer hunting throughout the state.

You can purchase Slick Tricks online in Canada from http://www.archersnook.com. They are based out of Ontario. I have bought from them before with good results. Read my review of Slick Tricks

Somehow, that just doesn't seem fair.
I was reading some articles recently, about how the Elk populations are really improving in most of the Northeastern U.S. This is a good thing!
Out here we've got lots of Elk, but they're pretty hard hunting until the bad weather drives them down out of the high country. Then it's just damn cold hunting.

yeah I think its only been 3 years since you could elk hunt in PA again, apparently we`ve got between 700-800 elk in the state now, of course I havent seen a single one of em over here :x

:-) :?
Yeah, I guess it would be pretty easy to hide 800 elk in something the size of PA.
I kind of thought there would be more than that. I don't know if I'd want to shoot one if there was only that many.
Hell, I bet I saw over 100 last year, most of them way out of range though.
I had a cow elk draw, and the one I took was lead cow of a herd of 34.
I guess in a few more years they'll reach the point where your environment won't support a lot more of them. There's a whole lot of people in PA. What's the size of the average land parcel in PA. Is there a whole pile of small holdings or is there a bunch of bigger parcels too?

i`m kinda confused with the question? are you talking average size of a persons property or ? , their are a few big citys in PA but alot of is it farmland and small towns, population of my towns only about 1500

:? :-)
Sorry about that. I was wondering about the average size of the rural land (farms, acreages, etc.)
Calgary is about 1,000,000 people now, and once you get past the small acreages outside the city, the average size is from 1/4 section(160 acres) to 25-50 sections.
We don't have to ask as many people for permission, but when we get turned down, there's a lot further to go to get to the next farm.
I was checking the PA fish and wildlife site and saw they are putting 40 Elk tags up for draw this year.
