View Full Version : Hunting Packs
So, I'm kind of in the market for a new day pack and was wondering what everyone's using. I'm really leaning towards the Eberlestock Slingshot (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0057442518558a&navCount=13&podId=0057442&parentId=cat20770&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21424-cat20770-cat20770&catalogCode=QX&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20770&hasJS=true) but I'm also considering this one since it looks like a quick one to get on & off Roadtrips (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0057442518558a&navCount=13&podId=0057442&parentId=cat20770&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&cmCat=MainCatcat21424-cat20770-cat20770&catalogCode=QX&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20770&hasJS=true)

I like the blacks creek canadian. Expands from 2000 to 4000 square inches. They make quality but you pay for it.

I have the Eberlestock X1 and its a great daypack.....one of the best I've used.....
apparently the link is goofy to the slingshot and I know I fixed it at least once before :headslap:

Eberlstock X1
I have one of those Russ and you can pack it for a day pack for a day pack adn use for overnighting as well. I adapted my cat quiver to fit so arrows always stay on the pack and can easily be removed in stcoking situations.

I have had my Eberlestock for about 4 years now, I love it. I think it's '104' pack. I haven't carried every pack out there but I have never heard a bad thing about them.

Ditto for me too. I packed out an elk with it and it was amazing. It is the besy day-weekend pack I have owned. Built strong and with good quality. I found mine on an archery site for $100, used one weekend. It still had the tags on it!!!!!
Cheers

That is an excellent price considering i retail them for 190$ and i am cheap. It pays to shop around if you are a deal hunter. Another thing i like about the blacks creek packs is that they are guaranteed for life right from blacks creek. Each pack comes with an instructional dvd, and on that dvd the owner of blacks creek tells the consumer about his warranty. Its simple. If you have a problem contact me and i will fix it.

I use the BC All American and absolutely love it. It can hold A LOT Of stuff and I also am amazed how heavy I make it by choice! It carries bows and rifles really well (not to mention hydration packs).
I've even managed to carry out a full front shoulder of an elk on the top of the pack!
