Prior to the 3D meeting in Dauphin we received 2 bids for the 2009 Indoor 3D Nationals - Trois-Rivieres (PQ) and Winnipeg (MN). The club from Trois-Rivieres withdrew their bid, so Winnipeg was awarded the event. Unfortunately, Winnipeg has had to withdraw its bid because a venue is no longer available.
Please talk to your clubs and see if any of them would be willing to host the 2009 Indoor 3D Nationals. It has been in the west for 4 years, so it would be nice to see it go east.
Please contact your provincial rep or me, if your club is interested.

Jude...When do you need a reply by? ..Thinking we could possibly run it in Red Deer using twin bldgs the third week in March..2 wks after the mother.
Bill/Bighorn
The Mother of All Shoots would be on February 28 and March 1. The other building is available on March 27, 28 and 29. So it would be a month after the MOAS.

That would be perfect timing. You need to decide fairly quickly so that you have enough time to plan and apply for grants. The next deadline for provincial grants is October 1.
Red Deer puts on an AWESOME shoot! Hope it works out for them getting nationals!

It is official. The Central Alberta Archers Association of Red Deer will be hosting the 2009 Indoor 3D Nationals from March 27th to 29th. I would like to thank them for stepping up and hosting this major event. I know they will do an excellent job. I hope you will all support them.
Great to Hear!
the CAAA puts on a great shoot! if nationals are anything like the MOAS then there will be NO dissapointments!

Just to clarify...
CAAA does not host the MOAS. It is a joint effort throught the Alberta Allied Archers
Caaa is part of the Alberta Allied Archers along with Airdrie and this year Sherwood Park. So Caaa is involved with the hosting of the MOAS.

I know that CAAA knows, I am trying to make the general population aware of the makeup of the Alberta Allied Group

OK Guys. This thread is about the Indoor 3D nationals. Please keep the MOAS talk in its own thread.

That building is HUGE! It will easily accomodate the maximum distance rule change of 65 yards that the FCA implemented......can't wait!

Where do you get this from? The FCA rule book 11.6.1`still says 50 yds max. You just wish it was 65 yards!

Huh??? Greg do you have a reference for that?
Last time I visited the FCA website and read the rules Chapter 11 (rule 11.6.1 to be exact) still had orange stakes at 50 yds.

I had a dream that it was 65yds......but I woke frantic when I realized it was just a dream and it was still 50yds! :boohoo:
Just wanted to let everyone know that the website for the 2009 SilverScent Indoor 3D Nationals should be up and running on December 5. Please visit www.CentralAlbertaArchers.ca for information and registration.

I guess that means they will have to go in to the Agricentre and take out those big fans. Otherwise there will be a 60kmph cross wind.
The website is up and running. Go to www.centralalbertaarchers.ca and click on news and events and follow the links. Still having a little trouble with the online version of the registration form, but you can print this one off and mail in.

I just noticed that the Indoor 3d Championships are not showing on the FCA website main page. The outdoor in Amos is showing.
Can someone contact them to make sure the indoor is posted there.
Lionel
Just a quick reminder, if you send in your entry fee before January 31st you are entered in the draw for two nights accomodations at the Ramada Inn.
Just a quick question to the organisers......I would like to attend the indoors but I wont know if my work schedule will allow it until just before the competition.....Will it be a problem to register late???
Gary
Hey M12,
We would rather have you register and already have you in a group than to try and put you in a group at a late date. It maybe to hard to juggle around at a later time.
Just wanted to update everyone and let you know that the Yaremchuk Family from Manitoba has won the two nights accommodations for early registration. Congratulations Yaremchuk Family.
