Yahoo .....Finally the draw applications are out and living way out here in the Boonies I am glad I was in Grande Prairie to get them in...
There is a few new changes in the Sunday hunting WMU's, they opened a elk season in Wainwright and also added calf moose season around GP.
The season looks like it is going to be great as I have been spotting a lot of animals.
Jack19... if you read this maybe you could write me back and we might be able to get together for a couple of hunts down around the Birch Hill area....as I will just be getting off night shifts I will be down there just after Labour Day. Hope I get my mule deer draw this year but it's going to be a beautiful Bow Hunting season : :-) :-) :-)

Got mine in today.I expect I'll probably only get one as the rest require more priority points than I have aquired thus far.

I like the fact that they have extended the cow elk season a week longer in Dec.

Hey Swampdonkey,

We'll definately have to get together for some hunting this year let me know closer to the season when you'll be around and we'll make arrangements to go hunting. The elk rut rut should be starting to heat up around the labor day weekend so the hunting should be good.

Hey Guys,
I live in Edgerton, east of Wainwright, and check oil wells on the east side of Camp Wainwright. We see some nice animals pretty much weekly.
The other day the wife was coming back from town, (Wainwright), and saw four bulls together, one had well over two feet of antlers. She didn't get a chance to count points.

Last fall while I was hunting in the Camp, I saw a couple of dandy bulls in the east annex around the lake. There some monsters in there. A friend of mine saw a herd of 30 elk on the west side of the highway too, at the south end of the Camp. Its a great area to hunt, you have mulies, whiteys, Moose and Elk!
