So, other than archery, what are some of your passions and hobbies?

After a many year layoff, last spring I got back into building, flying, crashing and rebuilding R/C Aircraft. Lately I have been experimenting with onboard aerial videos from a RC Plane.

Here are a couple of videos I did.

How about you?

Man besides the outdoors hunting/fishing. I have a couple other expensive ones. I fly small single airplanes for fun. As well I have a reef fish tank (both corals & fish) I just started that up, but probably already have nearly a couple grand into it.

wookie you could use that for deer scouting. I built a beaver 5 foot wingspan the guy at the hobby store told me . ......you can`t fly a beaver the first time built one of these trainers....my plane 1years work and a 1000sand dollars met a school gym wall the first 2 seconds.

Merv, I am seriouly thinking about getting and learning to fly an electric helicopter for aerial video and photo (deer scouting). They are virtually silent and a hover is a nice thing to have!

I am currently flying a 48 inch electric Cub and a 63 inch high wing aileron glow trainer. I am scratch building a 40 inch electric sport plane and have a 96 inch wingspan Piper Cub (1/5 Scale) that is partially built.

Like anything else though, finding time for it is hard.

Cool video.

That would be a great way to scout for wildlife.

You can reach the falls by following an OHV trail from Two Lakes to the Falls Picnic area. If you're interested in seeing it in all it's glory I suggest going to see it soon. Mountain Pine Beetle has taken to attacking the area ... and despite popping up some discouraging pheremones and removing the trees that are attacked ... the area seems to still be a buffet for them. :boohoo:

Doug, sounds good. I was just thinking last night about finding an electric helo to learn on. I have been flying the Trex 450 on my sim regularly.

Doug, what helicopter do you fly? Do you recommend Co-axial to start out or CPPM?

Duggernaut

No question, coaxial to learn on. You will spend more money in the long run but you will get a feel for flying a heli. I have the T-rex 450 SE V2. And I have the Real Flight G4 flight sim. For a first heli, I wish I would have bought the 600, apparently it is much more stable in the air. But if you are good and comfortable on your sim, get a CCPM with training gear.

You are gonna love it.

Go to GREAT HOBBIES in Edmonton. They also have a website.
