I picked up a riser finaly and the warfing is underway.
I have several sets of ILF limbs to work with and lots of time .
The project should be easy , the Dovetails are on the way to bolt on and I started making the shim plates for the riser pockets today.
With medium length limbs I should end up with a 63" bow, that has the ability to be a longbow or a recurve. The 45# limbs will make about a 42/43# bow. The 40# wood glasss will be about 38# on this riser.
For a few hours work and about $200 bucks for new limbs and hardware I will have a 3pc metal riser 63"Recurve or longbow if I use the Trad Tec longbow limbs. There are lots of good deals lately on ILF limbs so the posibilities are almost endless.
