Hi ,I am looking for a good and not too expensive target that could take both points and could fit in a trunk.
Thanks

Hey Sumspot, check out this link. Make your own target that will stop broadheads and fieldpoints. Great target for very little money!

:-) hey Sumspot in my boredom the other night in the garage i had some old carpet laying around, cut the pieces into 36"x 36" squares I used about 10 layers ,the arrows only penetrate about 6 or 7" built a 2x4 frame , threaded rod tightened it all up and there it was a target that could withstand anything .... But broadheads are a pain to remove, carpet is cheap any flooring stores dumpster has some, this will fit in your trunk and its not heavy hope this helps

A burlap bag full of shrinkwrap also works well, but broad heads get twisted into it ans are a pain to get out. Fieldpoints are no problem though.

:-) 8)
The Morrell HUMUNGO is a relatively low cost target that will handle both. After awhile you'll have to start putting your own targets on as the face is vinyl. It'll fit in your trunk as long as you're not driving a sub compact. The Calgary Archery Center used to carry them, but I haven't looked for awhile.

I use the burlap sack and the plastic bags too, but my club has phone books stacked behind the targets on one of the indoor ranges and it works about as good as anything I have seen, and cheap as anything if you collect them at the right time of year. They have a wall literally built out of them and have never seen an arrow pass through them yet. It definitely would not have to be as big as that one but it would be functional if you had the space.
