I want to buy a bow. Is a right handed bow with your right hand on the string or the bow itself? I have hunted before with a bow that was given to me, but I don't know much about the specs or what to buy.

Does anyone have one for sale? I live in the Toronto area of Canada. Looking for something not very expensive.

This is my first time to the site...... lots of good info and chat.

If you're right handed, your left hand is the bow arm (ie. the one that holds the bow). In my opinion eye dominance should play the biggest role in determining which hand you shoot.

Yes a right handed bow is held in the left hand. The release hand is the right hand.
I suggest a cheep bow that is under 40lbs to start. There is nothing mucho about learning to shoot correctly. A lot of bad habits are formed when the new archer starts out with a bow that is to heavy for them. Take your time about hunting, wait until you can handle a bow with good accrete shots at least be able to keep every arrow in the kill zone at 20 yards and under. Then only shoot at the yardage that you can control the shot.
