Guess I get to be the first one to start my journal. :D The bear baits are set and low and behold last weekend their was some action on them. Heading out Saturday to re-bait and then sit. Hopefully we'll see something.........if not the friendly neighborhood squirrels always provide entertainment when in the stand. :lol: :lol:

Well, had a great day on Saturday, as I managed to take my first black bear with a bow. :D Saw several bears that night and finally got one to commit to the cans. Absolutely pinwheeled him!!! He made it less than 20 yards from the cans.......got to hear the death moan and everything!! Not a monster (squared at 5'6" exactly) but had an unbelievable coat on him and I am going to get a rug done. Guess it's now time to hold out for the tank.....or maybe a nice colour!! :lol: :D :)

PS. I have photos.......but as a computer retard I have no idea how to post them. LOL :shock: Any help anyone????? :?

Time to start the fall thread I guess. I got drawn for mulie buck, whitey doe and non-trophy sheep. Find out about antelope next Tuesday, and should get a non-trophy tag. Have been out doing quite a bit of spotting, and seeing lots of critters.

Well, I did get my non-trophy antelope and I managed to pull an under-subscribed mulie doe tag this morning, so that tops off the list of things to shoot. Gonna be an awfully busy season this year. Heading out to the forestry on Saturday to look for a whitetail or maybe a big snot nose........we'll see what happens. :smile:

This is my 2nd bear of the year and my second with the bow. Definetly made for a good start to the season. Taking Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off next week for the opener in the bowzone and will be focusing on elk mainly.

Hey Scott: about an hour or so after I saw you. Saw him go up over a hill, followed him into a clearcut and got in for a 32 yard shot. It was pretty cool.

Managed to take a whitetail..............fawn :oops: :oops: last night out of my new Carbon Cabin ground blind. First night I ever took it out and zipped it at 12 yards. Well, one bowzone doe down and one to go. I'm hoping to upsize for the next one :lol: :lol:
