Hi all,

What's the best aiming method on your opinion; holding a lock on the target and shooting, or "passing" by the target and shooting?

I'm asking because I seem to get better shots when passing my peep sight by the target and shooting them when I take my time.

Please stop "drive by shooting". You are setting yourself up for a long long road of heartache and disaster. By hammering the release as you pass through the spot you want to hit, you are anticipating the release and this COULD turn into a full blown case of Target Panic.

Draw your bow, settle into your anchor, slowly bring your pin to (most guys prefer to bring the pin in from the top) your intended point of impact, but don't force it. If you have to muscle your bow to keep the pin centered, let down and start over.

Once you have acquired your target, you pin should slowly float in small circles around your target. Put a little pressure on your trigger and slowly and steadily pull through the shot.

Fair enough. I'll train myself not to do that anymore.

Thanks a lot for the info WOOKIE!!!! :)
