Independent Product Review of Kiwi Brand Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellent

I’m a Construction Worker by trade and I have always looked for a waterproofing for my leather boots that would work. In well over 30 years I have tried a good many products.

The last 3 or 4 months I have been using a product that a friend of mine recommended and have found that I am quite happy with it. It seems to work quite well, it lasts for at least a week on my boots and it is very easy to apply. Not only that, but there is No messy rags or applicators to put it on my boots.

The name of this product is: Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellent and it is made by Kiwi , a company that has been making shoe care products for more years that I can remember.

The product is a spray on water repellent that contains 13 per cent Silicone. It not only works well on Leather boots. I have sprayed it on my Carheart brand work clothes, to help them repel water. I have also been told that it works quite well on Tents and Tarps.

There is only one thing that I have noticed that I do not like in this product and that is the smell of it for the first day. It has a Very Strong Odor, so if you plan to use it on hunting clothes, boots or pop-up blinds I would suggest using it many days before your hunting trip. Then I would suggest that you leave the gear out somewhere that it can air dry and the smell will have a chance to disappear.

The product is fairly inexpensive, I paid about $6 for a 12 ounce spray can and it has lasted me for 3 or 4 months. I personally recommend this product for your water repellant chores.
