Who alls plannin on huntin bears this spring and more specifically spot and stalkin bears out west in the rockies. This is gonna be my first spot and stalk hunt bein im still a young buck but im already sure it won't be my last. I live in high river and haven't been thinkin about headin out as soon as the season starts but a friend in exshaw told me he's been cleanin bear sh@t out of his yard for the last week or so. any thoughts on the best time to head out?

I plan to spot and stalk this season. Slash piles can cause havoc on a stalk. For me it's a great way to hunt bears.

thers always biguns up yonder ...I grew up in PG so I know ...typically east out by Purden lake and down the Bowron forestry road is where I came across the biggest Yogis

Van. isle i think has hugh bears some of those fish bears out on the west coast gynormous!

I'll be out this weekend on Mt. Whymper. Out Nitinat way next weekend for 5 days!!!!!!Best place south island IMHO. But the biguns for the island are in The Nimkish Valley!!!

Not sure where Mt whymper is but i fell trees all over that area nimpkish to . I like bear meat but just could not bring myself to eat of them fisheaters.

There have been bear sightings on Vancouver Island already and I recently heard that Safari Club and possibly the other record books were going to list Vancouver Island bears as a separate sub-species. It is only rumoured at this point, if it happens thats a good opportunity to bag a new world record if I ever heard of one. 8)
