Hey can any of you guys around Calgary tell me what the snow levels are like out around Water Valley or the Trunk road. My neighbour and I were thinking about taking the kids out for a little hike next weekend, but if there is still a lot of snow we might look to the south where they've had the warmer weather a little longer. Kind of tough for a three and five year old to enjoy slogging through a foot of wet slushy snow. Thanks

T,I was out west of Water Valley a couple weeks ago on the atv and there was still plenty of snow.I was actually surprized by how much was there even in the open valleys.Since then we've had some pretty mild weather but the trais will probably still have snow on them.Check out the atv forum,I posted a pic of our stuck atv's in the snow, that'll give you an idea of how much snow is still hanging on.

Victoria 23c degrees today 8) spring has been here for about a month. The bears are out, bear season opens april 1. Maybe a chinnook (not west coast kind) will move in through Calgary and area. :) :)

Hey Islandarcher, it's warm here, 20 degrees, up to 23 tomorrow.....but a chance of snow on Thursday. Gotta love Calgary weather eh. I know all about the weather in Victoria, I grew up there. Can't beat the hunting out here though, less than a 30 min drive and I can be in a stand for an evening hunt after work. So I'll put up with the weather.
