How about some GPS co-ordinates? That would be great!

I've never heard of BYOC before! Does that mean you're supplyin' the beer :eyemouth:

How about read some maps and watch where you drive, you know where I live it is only a couple miles away. Russ I can make you a special chair it will consist of cowpies and barbwire....... :sunnyy5: sorry everyone I do not have the funds to supply everyone with chairs.

the shoot will go no matter what the weather is so if in doubt phone me and I will tell you if it is actually to bad to shoot.

I will supply an easy way to vacate the property if Alcohol is caught on it, Landowner says if we have alcohol we lose range.

Haven't figured out how to use your GPS yet eh Travis.

So here's the GPS co-ordinates according to the directions...

Lat 52.7574560308, Lon -110.170006863 that's off of Google Earth
and from Map Source
N52 45 29.1 W110 10 13.0
and UTM is 12 U 556497 5845882

BTW, you moved since I visited you the last time. So it's been a while. (and you're still a push pin on a map ha ha)

Travski

I am trying to concentrate on my archery and it is something the whole family can partake in. Go to gunshow with buddies but missout doing stuff with the kids.

Priorities i guess I have not been to a gunshow in over a year.

Travis

oh by the way go to gunshow spend money......

Go to archery tourney and possibly make a crispy off of Ac.............. :)

Scar
03-26-2007, 03:24 PM
Yeah that was my savings plan this winter, it's cheaper to go to lethbridge, stay in a hotel, eat out and pay entry fee's etc then to go one day to a gun show. Occasionally I make it back from archery with some money left in account, gun shows I usually have post dated checks written.

Don't worry Travis, I'm coming. It's Dave we gotta work on, moaning about seedin' or some silly crap like that. Talk about messed up priorities, work before play; what's next paying bills before buying bows? ;)

Tell him to quit whining and seeding will wait for a couple days. Still to much frost in the ground to worry about seeding yet.

Travski
04-15-2007, 12:07 PM
Russ

You will need them for sure when you miss the aligator sitting on the creek. You might be able to make a few dollars while you are here. You can prob collect others arrows and sell them back to them.........lol

But seriously I figure you usually have them with you most of the time because you are usually so full of crap you have to have them to wade through it............ :flipoff:

Well the shoot is over and done with, nothing left to do but the crying. I think it went well for our first attempt. I was happy with my performance for my first ever outdoor 3d shoot. The weather was actually fairly decent, especially considering the forecast.

I think we had a fairly interesting course. Hopefully we can get some feedback here so we can improve it for next year. Thanks to our sponsors and the shooters who braved the dismal forecasts to come out. I'm posting a poorly formatted version of the scores. I'll try to get a better version on Monday, but right now I'm just too tired. (Word of advise, ACArcher can talk ALL NIGHT)

First off I would like to say I would consider the shoot a fairly good success. The #'s were not all that high, but under the conditions I figure it was great.

I would first off like to thank all the people who came to our first 3DAA shoot. I would Like to thank the Ladies who kept camp while us guys were out shooting, Theresa, Tiffany, Karen and Ann. Great job done ladies with out you we would have been lost. I would also like to thank the guys for helping me get everything all set up during the week, Oscar, Corey, Shawn, Nash and Uncle Bob. Thanks guys for helping. I would also like to say thanks to all our Sponsors, your door prizes and use of equipment made it all that much easier to get the job done. AC I thank you for Keeping Oscar up all night, I just hope my camper did not become Brokeback Camper ............ :flipoff: I know whatever happens at the Archery camp is supposed to stay at the Archery Camp........ Thanks Dale for the help of retrieving targets while we were finishing up the course and getting the scores all done up. Thanks to Oscar for sorting out the Scores and all the book work. Thanks To Corey for rounding up Door Prizes. Thanks Shawn and Mike for helping clean up everything and for helping me get all the equipment back to my place.

I am sure I forgot to thank someone and If I did I am very sorry. Everyone helped to make this a success.

I would like to Say congrats to Kevin for taking Gold medal in BHR-M in the 3DAA
I got lucky and took the Gold medal in BHO-M in the 3DAA

We had two new Members for the 3DAA and one renewal. Overall we had Seven 3DAA members present.

See you all next year, hopefully will be a two day shoot then, now we know what to do.

Oh and for Russ I know it was long (28 targets per round)but quit whining, or I will buy you a purse next time.......................... Just kidding buddy glad to see you make it

We had shooters from Edmonton area, Saskatoon area, Lloyd Area and Elkpoint area
Thanks for all coming out

Thanks again

Had a great time. I think the course was awesome and will be thinking about that gator shot for a while. That was definatelly the coolest shot I've seen in my short time of shooting 3d.

Travski
04-24-2007, 10:55 AM
Which Gator shot you talking about the one on the creek or the close shot?

I wanted to have the one at the creek floating on the creek so that is was moving around some but the guys thought I was nuts to want that........lol

Travis

been hush hush thinking there might be some drinking involved............

How do you have a Head on collision with 2 quads on a main highway in broad daylight on a flat highway. Me thinking that they were drinking and playing Chicken.

That is what I heard anyway but that is just gossip

Travis

Yeah I had forgotten how wide open it was until I drove past, they hadn't loaded the quads up yet and either a county mountie or an Alberta sheriff had someone stopped just north of the scene.
