LOL! Nope! It's run by a friend of mine and it's a great idea. Getting the crimestopper's logo on your site is no easy feat, and he was able to do that with their permission.

The purpose of the site is simply to give law enforcement a central registry to go to find the owners of the recovered stolen property. You can only search using the serial number of the product you are holding. That's it. No addresses or personal info are given out and the site is 100% secure. It's well worth it!!
