I have a peep now and it is tricky in low light conditions. What is a kisser button and would it be as light needy?

I'm by no means an expert jigger08 but I do know that the kisser button will not assist you with low light conditions. Kisser buttons are placed on the draw string and used to basically help develop a memory condition for where you should be holding your string at full draw.
What I can suggest, is to try and get a peep sight that has an optic ring in it to gather light to help you see in low light conditions, or get a Cobra Sidewinder sight. I can't tell people enough what a difference it made using those sights - the extra fiber coils make an unbelievable difference - you'd think they were battery powered!
A number of folks on this forum, including some of the pro staff, swear by them which was why I switched to it and I will never turn back.
Good luck hunting!

yep what he said ....
I personally am not a fan of a kisser button .... but its ment to part of an anchor point system ..... its another referance point .... I dont like having anything on my string .... all I have on my string is a peep, my D-loop and a couple of speed balls up near the cams ... However Some people like a kisser for a 3rd point of referance to a proper anchor .... some people use whats called a "No Peep" which basically is another alignment tool ... when you are aligned properly you will see a dot in the ring .... I personally dont like it because you must remove your focus from the target for a split second to see that you are lined up properly .....
If you are having low light issues .... I would first suggest checking to make certain that your Peep is lined up properly and not twisting slightly on you, then perhaps going up a size in peeps ....
just some thoughts

I have heard the more you add to your bow you loose "fps" True or false.

As you add items to your string (ie: nock points, loops, string silencers, peep, kisser etc) your bow will drop in speed.
The only exception is speed nocks which on some bows will increase the speed. They are placed near the cams to speed up the bow. It takes alot of trial and error and shooting through a chronograph to get them correct. On my Pro Elite I gained 10 fps just by installing 3 brass nocks on each end of the string out near the cams. I did not adjust anything else on the bow.

I have always found that kisser buttons are like a soother.
The give a false sense of security.
What the other guys have said about low light conditions is right on the money.
Try a bigger peep or a lite site, or both.
Hope this helps.

Using a peep sight is 10 X's more accurate than not using one. If you hunt, you should use one. If you compete, you should use one. If you are having trouble in low light, then use one with a larger hole to let more light through.
