Hello out there in space, I have an old Martin Lynx Magnum, and I was thinking about trying 3-D shoots in my area { Southern Vancouver Island} Would this bow work to start out with?

If it throws arrows then its a good bow to start off with ... Welcome to the obsession ....

My wife is a new shooter this year too .... I finally turned her

I got her a Hoyt Trykon at 25.5 draw at 40ish pounds with some GT Ultra light 600 arrows ... playing with a sure loc sight and 3d classic scope with a 3x lense .... that might change in a hurry tho ....

I started 3d shooting with an old PSE polaris express bow .... it was so old that if I used it for another year they wouldve put me into the Traditional Class

cheers

Mike

My first hunting bow was an old Martin Lynx Magnum. It killed many deer and won many tournaments for me. I shot aluminum arrows (1916's) from it, and it was something fast at 78 lbs. I had it for 15 years I bet.
I'm sure it will be good to you.
Good luck and welcome.

I learned on a Martin Lynx Magnum too, it was great. Still haven't managed to get into any tournaments due to schedules but I will one day. I did make a personal choice to upgrade my bow a few years ago (smaller axis, lighter weight) but if I could have afforded to keep both bows I would. The Lynx is a great shooter for me all the while I practiced.

Well, I watched a group shoot a round last weekend in the " POURING RAIN " and I loved it. I went with some [ 3 ] guys from Port Alberni, got the lowdown on stick bows and wooden arrows and " those other people with all that fancy high tech. stuff". I think next time my name will be on the sign up sheet. Updates to follow. :super_hap
