I used a dozen Easton Carbon Aero Epics for about 2 years. They held up real well and no complaints. They area decent a all around arrow and are a little lower down on the price list. This year I finally switched to Blackhawk Vapor ACA's and they are great. Another good all around arrow and I got and extra 8ft/sec out of them. Assuming you are using one arrow for everything I find they are pretty tough to beat.

I just got back from the range where i was testing arrow had Epics Pse dominators, gold tips, Bemans . All priced about the same at 20 yards all hit about the same even 30 couldnt really tel the difference but at 40 & 50 the gold tips shot better with the pse and bemans close behind. O all had duravane 3d 2 inch vanes 85 g tips and white nocks.

I use Gold Tip xt's and the work fine for me. I have no idea what other one I would use, but would like to hear more about the ABC Xtreme arrows from ABC Archery. Here is the website.

For price and good quality you can't beat the Easton EPIC and Excell's.Bowman's sells them for $70.00 completed with Duravanes. If you want speed, then the Easton light speed's are a great arrow. They cost about 20 bucks more though.

The Xtreme Pro's that you are refering to are a great all carbon arrow. They are quite straight, very light, very durable, and grouped well for me right out to 90M. I fletched them with a ton or corkscrew, and ne4ver looked back.

On a spine tester that uses a variable amount of movement on a lever to deflect the arrow a pre-defined amount, we tested them to find the stiff side, and found them to be within 4-6 thousandths of an inch all around each arrow and all arrows in the doz. were consistant. We also tested another large name arrow (equivalent pricepoint/spine/and weight) which also shoots well, and found them to be 22-35 thou. off. They did still shoot great though.

Just some tech geek info for anyone wondering.

I stopped shooting them because of availability at the time. Sort of wish I did not. The 4060 is comparable in spine to a 400 Easton rated arrow.

I shoot with fingers using a pse xlr @ 72lbs with 31 inch arrows with a 30 inch draw. I switched last year using bemans ics 340's. My speed went up by approx 38fps. I thought that was great and it was when when your unsure of your distance. There was a compromised. My groups were larger then I would like. Using fingers and carbons arrows I found out this can be a common problem. I have made the switch back to aluminums for now since I can match my arrow spine better. I also have the piece of mind of not worring about carbons splinting within my game.
