I was talking with a guy in provost that sells shells and he told me they are comming out with a new law which will try and stop people from buying shells for people that can't.He said that the idea is when you go in you can only buy shells for guns that you have registered to your name and they have to fill in a sheet and fax it away and it has to be approved before you can get your shells. He said it will be a 2 day process to buy shells and when this goes into effect he's done selling. Is a rumour?

I would say that is a rumor.. or somebody pulling your leg.. since the Conseratives are trying to get rid of the registry, there would be nothing to register.

you must be talking to Sam at provost hardware? I would not beleive anything you hear from him he is full of crap, he tried to tell me that the rifle shells had a substance which would make them expire in so many months after buying them I just laughed at him.

He is usually drunk most of the time and would not listen to him under any circumstances.

That was part of the intent for the registration, that is why the Pal's have a magnetic stripe. You were only going to be able to buy AMMO for registered guns. That was the next step to force the registration. However that is all out of the window now with the latest happenings.

As for primers deactivating ---- that is true, any new cartridges bought thathave a red mark on the primer - looks like lacquer are marked for civilian use. - the primers are made to deactivate - due to chemical decay at approx 5 years. -- to prevent civilian stockpiling.-- have you noticed the number of misfires has been going up in recent years!? and factory primers are harder to ignite than they used to be because of the change in chemicals.

didn't part of the gun act make it illegal to give incorrect information about the law? Of course I just broke the law by asking.
