How many pounds are you pulling!

Drop your poundage for a while and see if you get the same thing!

If you take some twists out of your cable you can go a bit lower,

I would go see a sport doctor on this

It could also be from the recoil of the bow and you not being used to it. ?????????

Do you draw with your shoulder hi or low?

Most guys that draw with a low shoulder will at some point experience some problem with their shoulder.

There may be a number of reasons why you are getting the shoulder pain. It may be your technique or may be caused by what you do every day. More than likely there is a weakness somewhere in your shoulder and it is not stablizing properly when you shoot. Assessment by a sports physician or a chiropractor would best.

I am by no meaqns giving you medical advice, i say talk to a dr; however i do got further insight into some shoulder stuff. I have learnt that inside the shoulders there is a 'rotating cup' and it is the veryu weakest muscle in our upper bodies and the easiest to tear.

When someone is doing a sporting activity, perhaps archery in this case, one could do 2 excercises to increase the strength of these hidden and internal muscles. I had done these excercises for weight lifting cuz my arms were strong enough but not my shoulders, internally. the result for me was amazing in under a month. There is virtually to weight to this excercise maybe 5-10 pounds depending on your size.

I know that since i started shooting this year if i would not have done the internal and external rotating cups excercises my shoulders would flippin hurt. if you are interested in further info about this to try it i can help but is best explained in person so there are no mis interpretations. I have heard of several guys trying to constantly build these muscles and tears them to ****, there are certain ways to do these excercises. Maybe consult dr, personal trainer for 1 issue or i could offer you my amatuer and non0professional experience.

I send to thee one glimpse of heed unto thine carnal care......Be careful and dont tear the **** outta yer shoulder man.

Before this gets too much into a medical discussion, I am a doctor. It is called the Rotator Cuff and is made up of 4 muscles that are rotator as well as stabilizer muscles. Before you go on a home prescribed rehab program, proper assessment would be advised. There are a number of possibilities for your shoulder pain because the shoulder is the most complex joint in the body. Do yourself a favour and get it properly assessed. I would hate to see a future post from you saying you could not hunt this year because the shoulder was too bad.
