Just helped Penticton set up their first archery shoot of the season which takes place tomorrow. So now it starts. :D I still use my old Browning Midas Hunter. It is an old timer but then again the Little Mrs. is getting on in years and I wouldn't trade her for the world. I am cautiously optimistic that she feels the same about me. :D

Let's see...Went quadding last Sat...it was +7 cel......Going quadding tomorrow....It's gonna be +4 deg. cel.....Heading away next weekend for a little break. Went and shot a short course 3-D tourney this morning.... :D That was a blast. Hangin' out tonight and watching movies, eating popcorn and chowing on pizza ;)...

I've been keeping pretty quiet this winter. Mama and I have spent the past month or so getting ready for a little baby. He arrived last weekend so maybe soon I will be able to get out and do some fishing.Right now isn't a good time anyway my friends say theres about 2 feet of snow and 8 inches of slush on the ice so it might be longer then i hoped. I'm actually hoping to get out and check on our deer soon. With this much snow theres bound to be some winter kill happening.NOT GOOD.My 3 yr. old daughter and I have been riding the snowmachine around the yard though thats pretty fun.

The reason iam not having any fun iam working and living in a motel at Maclese lake and theres nothing at maclease lake .But next weekend i get to go home and go to your fish&game banquet cant wate and iam missing penticton :cry: :cry: :cry:

I'm going elk hunting later this week so it don't get much more fun than that at this time of year!! Gonna sneak in some ice fishing one of these days too. 8) 8) 8)

Hey Gumby where can you hunt elk this time of year. I'm in Ontario so I dont have the slightest clue about elk seasons. I thought most hunting was finished in Jan. Just curious is all.

Must be a get rid of pesty elk seasons thay have one in Creston south eastern BC around the orchards !

The DNR have extended the elk season because they want to try to lower the elk pop. in the Riding Mountain Nat'l park. It goes until Feb 28th for anyone with an unused tag for that area. There is a 3 pt minimum on bulls and any antlerless elk is fair game. Gotta get out there this week and check out some spots. It's supposed to get to 0 here by wednesday so I'm gonna take advantage if all goes as planned. :D :D :D

Just got back from a three day camping trip.Did a lot of quading,shot the rifles,did some ice fishing and drand a shit load of beer :D.The weather was just awesome,made the quading a little tough when the snow started to get wet.Had my first flat on my bike in 5 years :( ,musta been when we were stump jumping thru a cut block.

We saw so many freaking deer it would make your head spin,largest herd was 35+ mule deer does and fawns feeding in a cut block,never did see any bucks and we saw well in excess of 150 deer.the wolves have been busy up there ,we found alot of kill sites.

Can't wait for the next trip out now.

Mostly been after predators this winter with powderburners. Have many a coyote so far, missed a couple foxes, buddy got a nice badger during a chinook, still trying to get a wolf.

Can't wait to put the guns away and pick up the bow again for spring bear and gophers.
