I was thinking more along the lines of a bow for her too :D
She is not a hunter, but she says she likes archery.

My wife chooses not to hunt, and loves archery!
However when we were out quading after shooting a few 3D shoots (before we had rugrats) we saw some monster mulies up in the mountains, the whole time she was excited and kept saying, they are in range, I would shoot them for 25 yards. She was bang on and If it was in season I know if I put a bow in here hand there would have been steel on target!!!
Today she still claims she would not hunt, but someday..... who knows!!!
I encourage anyone to pick it up. She regularly beats me in shooting spots - she is an awesome shot, but is very humble and loves helping people get started!
My wife just started on a bow last year. She loves going to the range to shoot also. Claimed she could never kill anything, but I finally got her to shoot a gopher, and now she got the taste of a kill and cant wait for more.
Baby steps.

"Now she has the tast for a kill"...."Baby steps" that is awesome.
I got my girl to go shed hunting. She was expecting them to be everywhere. She was disapointed that we only found three but said that it only makes her want to go more because they are so hard to find. The whole time we were out she was like hey sounds like someone is on a quad nearby. I told her it was a grouse drumming and she did not believe me, so I found one and we snuck up to about 20 yards and wathced. We both gota kick out of it. She likes camping and canoeing, quading ect but Im not sure about hunting. She did snare gophers as a kid and got a nasty bite from one. She even claims to have shot a grouse once.
Who knows....i guess its baby steps.

never just the wife i got the whole family in archery, 3 of us shoot compounds and hunt while my daughter shoots a traditional bow, wooden shafts, kicks our buts at 3d shoots, come hunting to support us but she says she will never kill anything. I guess I'll wait a few more years to see what happens.
Although she does protest us about cutting the grass its harmfully to the vegetation(MISS GREEN PEACE) :286: :286: :nutkick:
Good luck and have fun
