Penticton B.C. puts on a pretty good shoot. They utilize windows a lot because the animals are not always in the open. There are shots where you have to thread the needle. Not impossible shots but shots that make a shooter out of you. In fact this weekend is their first shoot.

 Hey Walksalot , Each year the TBBC Championships are staged in various parts of BC . Each year the host tries to better the previous years shoot. This results in Fair but Tough 3-D courses. There are four Generated powered moving targets that were designed by an off work machinest in Kerameos BC. These targets are such as they will run for throughout the 3 day shoot with no breakdowns . The Flying Phesant target not only goes around in circles but constantly suddenly changes elevation. When placed behind trees and scrubs it will drive you mad. The Climbing Squirrel is designed to hide behind a 22" tree. This tree rat with its rolling eyes and bottle brush tail totally humiliates the archers.

Greybark, it sounds like a lot of fun. The only moving target I have shot at is a couple of javelinas on a turn table. Timing is everything when shooting at those little buggers.

:D hey Dillershortbow , TBBC = Traditional Bowhunters of BC . Two more of some of their specialy tough targets are the giant 6ft Fraser Valley Slug . This anatomically correct Slug with a Shark like Eye , large Fangs and covered in a clear silicone slime was pulled across an open field at 10:30 at night with no lights in front off 100 archers with ar least 15 arrows. Another tough target was also shoot at 10:30 at night with no lights. It was the West Coast Highline Shoot , which had 15 targets hanging on a long strung out cable and shooting stakes varied the distances . No target hung at the same height and were constantly moving in the darkness due to Wind and Targets being struck .
