:?: I've been shooting a Phantom for 3 years for hunting and I've had excellent luck and really like the bow. I've also done okay in some indoor and outdoor 3D shoots, but I want to leave my present bow set up for my aluminum arrows and set up a bow for the 3D shoots.

Would the Phantom II with straight limbs, 60# draw weight shooting 29 inch 360 Easton Redlines be a good choice for 3D shoots. I am thinking of going with the Quicktune drop-away rest, Sidewinder LX sight and a Timberline No-peep. I would appreciate any comments or advice on setting this bow up.

Thanks! :D

I think it would be an excellent choics with that brace height and axle to axle length it sounds like a great shooter to me. Hopefully sniper can get in on this he is our resident Martin guy. Martin is a great manufacturer

I agree with red neck,

Bang for the buck is what ur getting here.
The Phantom is a tight well priced little set up , and I shot one for hunting,in 2002 and loved it.
For a machined riser thats a great price .
And as red neck said its got good brace hieght and axle to axle is good.
Only draw back is for shorter draw lenghs it not to quick, but at ur draw length she should be plenty fast.

I love my martins.

Thanks for your input guys, it's good to hear. I've been hearing mixed reviews about the No-peep and am still undecided if I should make the switch from the in-line peep. Any suggestions on the no-peep?

Thanks again!

:D

If it ain't broke, it's probably a Martin!!

From what I have heard of the No-peep is that some guys like them and others don't. I believe your form has to be good in order for them to be effective. I use a Tru-peep and Winners Choice srting, so once it is set there is no rotation and no rubber tube. I have shot with a guy who used a no peep and did very well on a 3d course.

The no-peep works extremely well grizzly. I have used them and they work great. I would recommend them. The only thing with the no-peep is that your anchor point must be the same every time. It does help you with your form though :)
