Guys, being new on this site this may have been discussed to death here, I have tried to find a thread and can not. Some people are reaching though this guys back and ripping his lungs out. On a site in the States they have been just brutal. Is it envy or fact. I think if it was an America who shot it they would have sucked it down through a flavour straw.
I got a message saying there was an error in posting so if this is a double post I appopgize.

He definately shot a beauty but it didn't make it to the top of the heap.He jumped the gun on it in my opinion.Saying if an American shot it, it would be a different story is just sour grapes on the part of those who can't except the fact this buck isn't a world record.

Some say Zaft got the shaft but I think it wouldn't have mattered who got the buck or which side of the border it was taken on. One look at the rack and you can see why it was scored the way it did. However I dont think there is any need to say anything negitive about this buck just because it did not have the perfect typical rack that P&Y is looking for. It is a great buck and thats it and anybody that says anything negitive is just jealous. As far as the people that think it should be the world record, get over it , it is not according to the scoring criteria , maybe it is not the greatest system but everyone has to play by the same rules. I think the whole scoring thing has become a little to competitive and creates alot of negitive feeling amoung hunters, there are to many jealous people out there ready to rip apart the next guy that gets the big one.

great looking deer and anybody should be proud to have harvested such an animal fairly.

The guy shot a great buck- end of story. Or is it? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the main issue surrounding this buck all about when he found it, or even more so, who actually found it? Since my memory on this seems to be lapsing a bit since time has passed, I believe that a farmer found it a day or 2 later. Wayne spent a lot of time looking for it, a lot of time, before finally giving up. Then when he thought it was lost, this farmer found it and it was claimed by Wayne. I'm not disputing whether or not he shot it, but it wasn't tracked from any blood trail, etc..., from the shot to the kill site. Also, the coyotes had done some damage. I guess the invetigation cleared him and he got credit for the buck. Wasn't this the big issue?

Never heard to much about that side of the story, just the debate over the G3 being abnormal. Here's a link to Zafts sight where you can read the story of the hunt .http://www.zaftbuck.com/zaftbuck.htm

OK, maybe it just boils down to the old saying; "SIZE REALLY DOES MATTER'!
