Well, after sighting in the new bow, I headed out to the local club to shoot the 20 target course. Step up to the first target, and watch as my arrow sails harmlessly over the target. WHAT THE..... oh ya, wrong pin, reload and try agin 10! went through the next 19 targets, final score at the end of the round 175, if I discount the first miss 185. Definatly can't complain on the first round of the year with a new bow. Looking forward to the first 3-D of the year(for me) this weekend.

Kakko, still playing with the final set up Right now its at 67# Gold tip 5575 with 85gr tips, but I am gonna try out some 7575 100gr tips @ 70# and see. The bow is working well, definatly alot of torque to it if your not careful.
A new stabilizer is being saught after as my old martin hydrolic dampened stabilizer seems to rattle alot more than it did, think the fluid has finally disappeared and everytime I fire I can hear it rattle.

But your right a 185 in practice is worth 0 on the real course. Gotta get my game on. Will have to see how I fair this weekend in Vernon.

If this is were true then some one from the shallow end of the gene pool TOOK ONE OF YOUR CRISPY"S :flame:
BWAHAHAHAHHHHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHH :flipoff:
Hey Kirby, I am hoping to make Billy's Puddle can you get me some info! Then we don't have to wait until National's to settle this!
IT"S ON!!!!!!! :haha:
Oh and when it is all said and done and I am enjoying steak even in the small chance that I may have had to purchase it!

Yep he did ...and I am man enough to admit it, and its just a single crispy ...
But remember ..."The Sun shines on everydogs ass once in a while"
I am hoping to make Billy's Puddle
Can I assume yer talking about Williams Lake ...
You Inbred hick ...add some chlorine to that pool ......LOL
Everyone who has ever lived in BC and is not inbred knows that it "WILLYS" puddle not Billys....
Billys Puddle is known as (or at least used to be known as) as the Pub in the Billy Barker Hotel in Quesnel

I had roommate's from Billy's puddle and Billy and Willy seem to have been equally accepted as a term for the place known as Williams Lake. Not that they would have noticed anyways as they were rarely sober!
By the way if your a Willy's leavin a Puddle, man you gotta get that checked out, penicillin usually fixes that. But at your age you only hope is DEPENDS! :D
I seem to remember outscoring you at Lethy's Puddle, and Cally's Puddle as well. OK OK OK no crispies there "But if there were!!!!!!"
OH OH we are back to aunt/uncle thing again.
Hey I think my aunt used to be your uncle!!!!!!
Oh I forgot you are from the Northern Capital of B.C. -the one that's south of the mid line latitude of the province!!! Love that on the sign outside of PG.
Another Weird thing I noticed is that if the AB/BC border came straight down. Kamloops would be in Alberta!!!!! Kirby see you really are a flatlander!!!!
what was the point of this thread again!!!
Oh ya Kirby bought a new bow and it shoots well apparantly--Not A Mathews, Not a Hoyt, not even a Bowtech...
AWWWWW.. Kirby why did you take the fun out of it, how can we trash what you shoot? :crybaby:
Don't Worry we'll think of something.
Cheers! Thanks for making me laugh today guys ....needed it!

Thats ok Pal ...I understand that you were dropped on your head as a child ...and I forgive your doctor for that (although he should be paying me for putting up with ya )
I have my outdoor system figgered out and will be shooting whut I brung.
However I realize I am not on the level that you are Allan ...as you have a Blingy long stab, with a scope with probally a lense .... maybe not .... I beleive Wookie said it best when he said ...
I Miss my Soother
when Speaking of losing his site tape to the elements and had to revert back to pins for the rest of Leth outdoor 2k5...needless to say his score suffered quite a bit
My equip for outdoor 11.5 inch stab
fixed pins
big arrows
Take away yer Blingy Sucky and then we will play
and ya know what .. I aint even gonna ask for spotting of points ...as this is 3D ...not spots ...and I am the Crispy Commishioner after all.
I mean if you bragging about talking my crispys when you shoot in a class that should beat the class that I shoot in .... and it boosts yer ego ... go nuts dude have at er ...
LOL
Hey Kirby ...
Congrats on the Bow Mang .... with that bridged Riser it should take Allan, Outback and beat him like a rented mule

Hey Mikey what happened to your bling! I know I had to take most of it off your bow when you came to your first spot shoot but I didn't think you'd leave it off!!
Dusted off my rangefinder and heading outdoors this weekend to work on my yardage system. The WAG system (Wild Assed Guess) has worked well for me in the past but think I might need to touch it up keep up with the Jones at Nationals.

Mikey, Coming to Camp shoot?
If it does not conflict with Billy's puddle I'm In!
If you are coming I will use my old hunting bow that actually has been run over by my wife -accidentally-- she claims she was actually trying to run over me!
I will lose the bling and let's hunt some foam And then it will be crispy time!! Might even spot you some points just to make it even :D
I challenge everyone to bring hunting gear to Camp! Evrything except broad heads!
as for Nationals
It don't mean a thing if you don't got Bling-------Baby------!

I decided it was too much of a PITA to keep changin everytime I wanna go hunting with only one bow ... so ...
Lightspeeds with 85 grain screw points at a total of 350 grain traveling at a blistering 295 ish at 62 pounds of draw (easily converted to 85 grain fancy Broadheads ...) the stab I got now I gotta change fer hunting ...or wrap in camo tape;)

If I can make camp .... we will hunt some foam .... Tell Greg not to make the course so easy this time .... I only missed one target... and that was the shot where you had to play yer arc on the path ... I still have issues with that ...I Cant see it ...I wont hit it

Saw PITA thought FITA pretty much the same thing
Just put together my own huntin' arrows, 3-39 ACC, blazers, 60gr screw in points 64#. Ready for bears and even the odd foam shoot now. No noticable difference with the 85 gr MONTECS inside 50 yards.

I use inserts with 3-39's. Have for the last 5 years. PDP makes them. Calgary Archery Centre usually stocks em, I know they still have at least a pack or two in stock. They weigh in at only 8 grains if memory serves.

Mikey,
Kirby and I go WAAAAAAAAAY BACK!!!
Just Razzin him a bit! Don't worry he gives as good as he gets!
Man, I just got to adding up the time, its been 10 years since we started shooting together, thats almost half the time I've been shooting! I think when we first were shooting at the old club I was still slinging the Jennings Titan I had. Then 2 PSE(the one I won in WILLIES ;-) puddle when we went up there), and then the Alpine, and now the new Alpine, been awhile, couple of bows, couple of animals. Seems like no matter how far ya move we keep running into each other, like at Ingrid and Tys wedding! 8) .
I won't be making the willies shoot this year, as I've got a spring bear hunt with a father/son team, that I said I'd help out again. I'll see if the weekends can be swtiched, but then I'll miss the Q-town shoot, and they serve some sweet eats!

May 13/14. Its a good shoot. Not quite as big(number wise) as willies, but a damn good shoot. Great courses I would rank it as one of the best I've got to shoot at and GREAT food, last year they did a whole pig, a bison roast, and baked salmon :D . I think their theory is stuff you so much on Sat that you can't walk on Sunday!

jeez that sounds like the Med hat shoot ...but without the salmon ..... These Praire Chickens dont know whats good fer em ...that and its impossible to get good salmon more the 300 kms from the coast ...otherwise its too old and yucky
whens the quesnel shoot ... 13 of may ... Mothers day weekend aint it ... I wonder if I can convice Mama to spend it with her mother ;)

yep...mothers day week-end for the Quesnel shoot boys....and the food will be even better this year....gonna do the whole pig again , and more bison than last year as it went pretty fast. We spent a fair bit on new targets this year to improve what is allready a pretty good target set. Great trails and a bunch of really good folks. By all means come on up, the beer will be cold when ya get here!

Take the adult unlimited pegs, move back 5-10 yards, and put a bush in the perfect spot to block 90% of all shots(at least for me).
Its just a harder peg, you shoot from your peg first, then step back to a harder shot. I could be its longer, smaller window, more extreme angle, or all of the above. Its lots of fun. Cost me alot of arrows when ever I try it too. :( :D
