It has never ceased to amaze me how some hunters can go to extreme to control something you just can't. IMHO, many hunter would not be "scent busted" if only they could stand still on the stand. Animals can live with all kind of scents including human scent. They will detect a tree suffering of hickups so fast that sometimes they won't even bother to find out the hickups are caused by a 200 lbs hunter jumping up and down on his stand!.

that was very interesting to find out that those suits aren't what they are cracked up to be .... the old saying IF ITS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS really stands out on that product i wonder how many campany's have called that guy to get him to take his story out that site...it makes sense what mooseplus said about sitting still what did hunters do prior to these suits and for hundreds of years people taking game with a bow and gun without 2days technology... more animals were takin in the old days then present...

Saw that on an other forum.I never used that product.I think that good hygiena and fresh camo clothing is better.I called up to nine deer at a time in tha middle of a trail "Deers were about 20 feet from me and even a ten pointer pass in the wind coming from my back and pass less than10 feet from my right side.Just scent control and good camo.

Interesting article. Though I have never used any of these scent control products I don't believe there is any substitute for keeping the wind in your favour. That being said I doubt even labratory proof documenting the effectiveness or rather the lack thereof would be enough to sway the hunters who use and trust these suits.
It is quite similiar to discussions about how important camouflage is. Do we need all these new high tec camo patterns? Are they really that much better than a plaid shirt and faded pants? I don't think so. This doesn't mean that I don't wear camo, I do and like it, but I sometimes think it is more for me than the game I hunt.
I guess that's what makes hunters an interesting if not somewhat "fickle" bunch.
