Shoot Questions?

I've never been to an official shoot before. What type of format do they use at these things? Do you shoot x number of rounds with x number of arrows per round or how do they come up with the scores? I have never been to one before. I usually shoot alone or with one or two of my huntin buddies.

Every shoot is slightly different Gumby, some count 1 arrow per target as 10x,10,8,5 & 0 for a miss and in case of a tie it go's to x count other's count 11,10,8,5 & 0 and yet other's like to use the two arrow count so if you miss your first arrow you get a second shot and that scoring is 1st arrow 20,18,15 or if you have to use the second it score's 10,8,5 every 3-D is different though!!! Now target archery is completely over my head especially FITA they score different for almost every class!!!
