Mine sucked, bow season looked great till opening day then the deer all vanished, blew my back out at work, herniated disk :crybaby: so it cut late archery out and the first two weeks of black powder, was able to get out with my brother for last day took a doe and a fork horn(brother wasn't to pleased about how far he had to drag them)only got out twice with the rifle ,last day took two does ,very happy for the animals I took just had big plans for being able to hold out for the big boy this year but my two weeks of holidays where spent nursing my back and watching opera.

Mine was a great season. Helped several people get their first bears, and a father son team take two great bruins, then spend 6 days in the high country, some of the nicest country around, later I took a nice mulie. Got to hunt with some great people, see some new country. Definatly another season I wish hadn't ended. Well, guess its not over yet, still got cats, dogs, and maybe QCI in Feb for sitkas. And then bear season is here again!

I had a great season although it only amounted to one week elk hunting in late September and a couple of single day trips to 410. Headed out to 314/316 on the last Saturday with my rifle (in the middle of my battle with Tonsillitis) and eventually ended up along the Panther River in 416 (???) in and among some nice big mulie does... funny thing was that its been so long since I slung a rifle on my back (2+ years) I seemed to forget my trigger lock at home so I just did a lot of scenic driving and scouting and sighting distances with my rangefinder!
End result - no animals for me this year AGAIN!

I got a combination lock for my gun...no lost keys. You can reset the combination to one you can remember...I did it and forgot the new combo. Returned it to Can time and they gave me a new one. Soooo I left it on the factory set number 000 (shhh) it's a secret!! And I even go one further I don't lock it- I just slide it on. At the gun shows they sell locks made of plastic for 50 cents each. I got a bunch of those too, if you forget the "key" you can remove them with your fingers.
