I do most of my own, but there are a few things that I just can't do, so I leave them to Jim Bow's Archery in Calgary. How about the rest of you.

What I can't do I trust Wilderness Archery in Bow, Washington to do. (yes, there is a Bow, Washington! Perfect place for an Archery Shop, huh? ;) :) :D)

Do all my own,We have a press and all the tools.I think part of shooting is knowing your equipment inside and out.I also cut and fletch my own arrows.

I absolutely agree with you pink. All I need for my basement "pro shop" is a fletching jig. So if anyone has one for sale, drop me an email

Pink nailed it.

If you can't maintain and fix that bow you'll never be trully good with it.
And everyone of us has had to do a field repair at one time or another.

I do most of my own I just need to make a bow press then i will really get going with it. Worst case scenario is I take all the pieces into the shop and say OOPS can you put it back together for me.

8)
I set up a shop in the bsmt. and do all my own maintenance too.
I figure if something breaks in the field, I damn well better be able to fix it there. Beats going all the way back to town and losing a hunting trip.
I also like that I can take the time to make sure everything is just right, something the bow shops can't afford to do.

I do all of my own and a lot of other peoples, I am the tech at a local sporting goods store and was the warranty guy for Browning Archery in Western Canada until 2003.

I actually work in the forest industry, but the shop I am affiliated with is Tyee Marine. You can check them out at tyeemarine.com. They haven't updated their website so my ugly mug isn't on there site yet. But I check in daily with them to see if any bow work has come in . It will have Roger on there, he is my brother-in-law and one of the shop owners. It's kind of like having my own archery/ sporting goods store without all the headaches.
