Congrats to Derrick Hird (ACC 3-28),

Last night he shot a great little whitetail doe, and tonight he got a great little two point mulie buck.

These are are Derricks first two deer with a bow.Back to back.

Way to go buddy.

Hey Grunter, your best bet is to go into Waldrons Grazing field. Openeing day of rifle season its just pounding with thundersticks in there. I've seen them in bow season lots there too. Keep your eyes open for the monster mulies. Ive seen more than one 180+ buck in there.

I couldn't find them(elk) on Friday either, walked all over Waldrons by Heath Creek. Saw lots of Mulies again, some decent bucks, one of which I missed my shot (AAARRGGH!). Oh well. I know the Mulies are in the creek bottom every morning coming from the west over the hills. A couple real nice ones, they're starting to spar down there too. I lost my damn rattlin bag there somewhere come to think of it. Anyways good luck. Might be elk there tomorrow where Joey and I described.
