Has anyone else's Rocky boot's soles worn completely or cracked? Please post your Rocky boots experience here. I am trying to return my boots and they are giving me a significant amount of resistance. Unfortunately, I do not have a receipt for my purchase.

A buddy of mine had his soles crack. He figured it was due to cold weather and snow. I just got a pair of corn stalkers from Rocky so I hope that I dont have this trouble. Keep us posted.
I also had the soles on a pair of rockies split open.that was about 6 years ago,and I never tried to get any money back even though they were less than a year old. After that I bought a pair of danners and after 6 years they are as solid as the day I bought them.Expensive yes but well worth it.

I've had my Rocky's for eight years and they're still in good condition. They're a little worn from countless miles put on em,and I'll definately buy another pair when I have to repalce these ones.

My boots are pretty old but I can assure you that the boots cracked and began to crumble within 6 months of purchasing them. My only mistake is not returning them within that period. I continued to wear them as I paid good money for them and expected them to last. At the time I couldn't afford new boots. Everyone post your stories either here or at the other forums below. You can see that my problem is not unique:

I had a similar problem with the sole cracking and seperating on a pair of Columbia boots... my rocky boots were okay, other than they needed really good, expensive insoles to make it comfortable for hiking. The only fault I had with my Rocky's was one of the lugs on the outside edge of my boot actually ripped off and I couldn't walk for long distances with them anymore.
The last two years I've been using a pair of Columbia's Diablo Pass and they are excellent boots but my next purchase in a year or two will definitley be a Meindel.

I had a pair of Rocky's and the inner lining ripped out of them in the first 6 months I owned them. I couldn't find my recipt either so I ended up living with it.
I got rid of them and bought a pair of Meindel boots....Had them for a week and then went on a sheep hunt for 7 days. No blisters....and they are still in great shape. I wear them every day and have for the past 3 years. I think they'll last another 2 and then I'll have to buy another pair.
I won't buy anything else but Meindels.

I use "Viper " Tactical Footwear ...have for the last 4 years ... I do everything in these boots ...Hunt ...Quad ...etc...
The only complaint I have of those is when I dont water treat them and my socks get damp

You know in the 'old' days you just took your shoes back to the cobbler and got them fixed (resouled).
