Which do you prefer, wild meat or beef? If you had to give up one which would it be? I have to say although I am a hunter I much prefer beef over wild meat. Please dont hate me for that lol.

Well for me I would say Wild meat better for you no force feeding too get them fat for the market all natural.... Now if all I had too eat was deer I would pick beef I personally just eat the loins and backstraps out of deer the rest goes too Jerky or sausage peperonie and stuff like that but Moose or Elk yah 4-sure over Beef...

I prefer wild meat but still enjoy beef also. You gotta eat something when the freezer is empty.

Theres nothing that compares to fried buck chops to me but a barbequed beef steak on a summers evenin is pretty dam good too. If I had to choose between wild or beef its wild all the way much healthier and cheeper.

Can't beat elk steaks cooked rare with mushrooms and onions, baked potato, garlic toast and an ice cold homemade beer!!! Deer backstraps are next on the favorite list though. We rarely ever eat beef because we raise bison and I have 8 freezers full of everything from burger to jerky to prime rib. We sell off the farm and need to keep a large supply on hand at all times. Bison has a better flavor than beef any day.(I'm slightly biased here!!) After eating bison though I find beef is bland tasting.

I admit some of the beef doesn't have a whole lot of flavour but some of this Alberta beef you cannot beat. Alot of people on here seem to like elk the best , haven't had any of that yet but will give it a try next fall.
