I was watching the news tonight when Ralph came on with a very appropriate response to our friends from the south side of the border. Once again our US Friends have decided to deflect the blame on Canada by stating that the mad cow was from Canada.
I say once again, because Ontario was blamed as being responsible for the blackout that put NorthEastern US and Ontario in the dark for some days. I believe the statement was made by either the Mayor of New York or someone from the Governor's office. Later someone down the States had to pull his foot of his mouth and say "ooops, Ohio is to be blamed!".
Anyway, Ralph said it all when he said on TV that when "an american bull sniff a canadian cow, he does not check for nationality!" meaning our industries are so entwined that instead of trying to blame each other we should work at a solution together.
Hopefully someone on the south side was listening... after all we are still the little neighbourg that have help out in big ways many many times...
