At present electronic calls are illegal to use for hunting game in Alberta. However I heard that they are planning on making them legal. Has anyone got the facts on this as to when it will come about if at all?

My 2 Cents.. I hope they don't make it legal... This world we live in has become so dependant on Electronics that you either go with it or you are screwed... I would hope that Hunting would be one place we could just keep it hands on like bugling an elk with a reed and a tube and not just push play on a cd player or what ever.... angain just my 2 cents....

My reason for wanting to use an electronic call is strickly for cougar hunting. I would like to set up away from the call so I dont have to worry about a cougar jumping me from behind when I'm not looking. Other than hunting game that will kill you I dont see any reason for needing one. I would like to get a cat but dont agree with dog hunting but I dont want to put myself in to much danger either. The way I look at it is if a big cat is coming to a call he is coming in to kill something and I would rather it not be me.
