What do you think of the US government telling consumers that they should be very confident with the US beef supply? I guess it's not so bad if an American cow was diagnosed with mad cow. Oh maybe one case isn't a big deal as long as it is south of the border! Should the Canadian government ban US beef or will Paul Martin be to big of a pussy?
I hope our American members will not take my comments personally, its not the people I have the beef with, its your government saying consumers should not worry about the beef in the US while just a few months ago they banned our beef because they did not want to put the American people at risk. :cuss:

well for those of us that have seen the South Park movie .......

I have a feelin that it will be .."BLAME CANADA" all over again

perhaps someone should tell someone else that our mad cow came from state side .... and also perhaps someone should inform someone else that the meat is not infected by BSE(Mad Cow) only the nervous system and the brain matter is affected

:?
I'm just wondering how many unreported cases there were, before someone let the cat (cow) out of the bag???????????????

I'd be willing to bet that there is more than few unreported cases in the U.S. and like Mikey said, Canada will probably get blamed for this. I hope our chickenshit gov. does close the border to U.S. beef.

Don't think you will see any Border closing and not sure if we should either just for spite...
From what I understand it wasn't a cow for consumption it was a dairy cow so too me that is a big diff.... Don't think we should get into a pissin contest with a person we can't win against unless it is apples for apples... Just my 2 cents...

I read that the cow was cut up for meat and shipped somewhere. Apparently they found the shipment and recalled over 10,000 pounds of beef . I am far from an expert on beef but I have always understood that after the dairy cows have served their purpose, they are cut up for meat and that this is the lower grade economy beef that sells for alot less than the grade A. Thats what I heard anyway.I am sure there are members on here that know a hell of alot more about beef than I do so can you let me know if the economy beef really is the used up dairy cows or not.

So there're saying now that the infected cow came from Alberta. Does that mean it was infected before it went across the border or could it have got it since its has been down there. At any rate this does not look good for Alberta. I sure hope it was not infected when it left Alberta.

They are just desperately trying to find a way to blame someone else.
A path of plausible deniability.
We'd better watch out or they'll invade us for having Cows of Mass Destruction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
