Hey everyone, Whats your favorite animal to hunt?
Mine has always been and always will be the whitetail but what else would you expect from a native eastern boy. Moose is a my second pick and after that I dont care as long as it is big game. I haven't hunted for bighorn yet but I can see me getting hooked on that.
When it comes to small game I like hunting grouse (ruffys). I got my first one with a bow made out of sappling when I was 12 and got my lastest one this year with a old tree root that I whipped at one sitting in a tree. Is a tree root a legal weapon? lol.

Elk are my favorite to hunt. Nothing beats a bugalling bull on a frosty morning!

whitetails are the best by far to me. nothing gets the heart pumping like they do. But moose up close and personal during the rutt with nothing but a bow is pretty darn close.

:D this maybe just me but in my opinion any animal harvested legally looks great on the table whether its elk, deer , moose or turkeys its all the same the satisfaction of knowing it was a quick clean kill is good enough for me just my .02

I would have too go with Elk as the #1 for me and second them tricky Whitails..... Nothing gets the hair on the back of the neck standing up on end like a Bugling Elk.....

I like moose hunting the most. I really want to get an elk with my bow. I am now obsessed with bowhunting whitetail.

Elk is my No. 1 favorite, with moose a close second.
I'm still trying to get a moose up close and personal, but next season is gonna be the one for me and that old bow.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, and lots of

I guess mine would have to be the whitetail deer as its the only thing i have hunted beside rabbits and red tailed tree rats. I went on a pheasent hunt one time and got all 4 that i shot at. Never had shot at a bird before that. I used to read all about hunting and fishing in field and stream and out door life before i got into it for real. I feel from my reading all about it that i have been there and done that. Ya know what i mean here?. I grew up on a small farm of about 21 acres. when my folks both were gone i bought the home farm. I rent it out and share the crop off of 11 tillable acres the rest is woods and small ravines. I have a few deer that amble by now and then and if i am in the right stand at the time i will get a shot at them. I most of the time get at least 1 per year but some times i get 2 but so far this year i am on 1. Got till the 4th of jan. to hunt with bow yet. I doin't have to drive for hours to find a place to hunt as i just walk 300yds to my tree stand out my back door. I doin't have to buy a license on my own place either. Have been trying to sell the farm and if i do i will give up on the hunting cuz i am not gonna try to find a place to hunt. Its hard to find a good place to hunt here that is not covered by a bunch of guys. Wanting to buy a place on a small lake close by and if i do its fishing all the time for me. Have been out almost every day sense the 1st of Oct. Bow then shotgun then muzzle loader and now back to bow.
Guess thats enough blowing off for now. charlie

for the thrill it has to be elk and then moose, then deer
but for fun, nothing beats a day out with the dog shooting a few birds.

My first choice is elk followed closely by moose then whitetail, mule deer and bear. After my first elk was taken I was hooked hence the name elkaholic. Nothing like the bugling of a majestic elk to get the blood boiling.

Fisrst choice would have to be elk. Can't beat a cool morning with a slight breeze and a bull elk bugling just over that ridge.... Next would have to be moose and then whitetails. Only 241 days left till elk season opens!!

I love hunting moose people think that their stupid and and easy but it's not true from where I live but it's awesome to see the sheer size of the moose the rumble of the bull grunt going through your body as you go to full draw and the final stare they give you as you release you can almost see their final thoughts "now I'm screwed" bears up close and personal is a pretty close 2nd.

I would have to say that my favorite is Mule deer...but that is only because I have harvested more mule deer than white tail...And I have never attempted elk or moose yet....maybe this year for elk.
