They're made by Toxonics for Hoyt. I use a Tox Hybrid V on my bow and like it very much, it is the same model as a Hoyt Micro-elite.

I've got the Micro-Lite on an Ultratec I bought this spring. Only been shooting this set up for two months but really like the sight so far. Nice and solid as well as compact and the pins seem much more durable than other Hoyt glo-dot sights I've used. The true test will come this fall.

A fellow Ultratec shooter I like your style

Since the Hoyt MicroElite and Tox Hybrid V are essentially the same sight, does anyone know if the Tox 3D module will fit on the Hoyt?

Hi DrDave. I have the 3d module for the Hybrid V, but I don't know if it will fit. I know they are both made by Toxonics. I will look in to this for you,and get back to you on it. Where are you located?

I emailed Toxonics and they tell me that the 3D module will fit on the Hoyt sight. Nice feature for those who own the Hoyt and want to add the 3D module.
The only thing I am still wondering about is what kind of vertical travel the 3D module has. Is it long enough to use for a Fita or 900 round? I suspect not, but it would be handy for those of us who shoot the odd 900 and do not want to invest in another sight.

It has 2" of vertical. I think a 900 would be okay but FITA may stretch it a bit . I have never shot mine that far.

I agree, the Fita is a bit questionable. Is there a way to apply reference marks to the module so that one can easily dial in yardages on a field course?
By the way, I am in Vancouver.

Yes there is a tape strip that you can mark off your distances on. Are you coming out to the Indoor 3d in Abbotsford Jan10-11. I will be there and you can have a look at mine to see what you think.

I am supposed to be working that day, but I might be able to get covered so I could come out.
Is there a decent reference point on the sight to line up with the marks on the tape? What I am wondering is if I would be better investing in an inexpensive target sight like a Toxonics 1400 for when I need movable pins, or go with the 3D module.

Lets start over with this subject and find out more about your bow and what you intend to use it for ie Hunting, field target, 3d, FITA. then we can help you decide what may work best for you. Lets here what your shooting and what gear you have on your bow now. :D My daughter has a 1400 on her bow and it works well. It is an entry level target sight, but is quite solid, she also has a 4x GKF Gold scope on it as well. If you are not hunting with your bow then I would probably go with a target sight. If you want the ultimate combo get out your cheque book and I can tell you what I would do,and may do here this year

Here's the deal. I am returning to archery after almost 10 years away from serious shooting. I started shooting in Ontario where it was all IFAA field rounds. I hunted and was an avid competitor in indoor and Field events. No 3D. I came to BC in 1987. After that my shooting was at the BC provincials, indoor and outdoor, some NFAA/IFAA field and hunting. I was shooting Martin bows. I stopped shooting in around 1990, partly because of bad target panic. 3D was just getting going at that time.
I always shot Bowhunter Limited. I am now going to try a no punch release (GKF The Answer) as one of the ways to avoid TP again. I will mostly shoot indoors with my kids, and hunt. I may get back into competition at the provincial level, and may shoot NFAA field as well. I don't know about 3D.
I have just ordered a bunch of new gear:
Hoyt ProTec, XT 3000 limbs, 60#. I went for the ProTec instead of the UltraTec because the UltraTec brace height has dropped to 7"from 7 3/8 on the 2004 bows. The ProTec is 8 1/2. The Protec is rated only 6 fps slower than the UltraTec. I may end up shooting fingers again, so I wanted the theoretically more forgiving bow. I'll likely try A/C/C arrows.
I ordered the Hoyt MicroElite sight which will be good for hunting and NFAA/IFAA field and indoor. I will not be able to use it for FCA or BC competition because of the level, and would be better off with a movable pin anyway. So my options are to add the 3D module to the Hoyt sight (which may not have the reach of the occasional Fita or 900 round) , or get a dedicated target sight for these applications. I thought the 1400 would be able to take the pounding of a compound bow and not break the bank. A sidewinder would be another option. I am hoping the toxonics target sight will fit on the same bracket as the Hoyt, but I am not sure.
So, that's the story. Thanks for any thoughts.

That is quite the Story. I think the 1400 will take the pounding. The 3d module may work out because of the short extension from the bow to the sight. I will have to try mine to see how far out I can shoot it. I assume you bought your bow at Boorman's.

Believe it or not I bought my very first (and second) bow from Boorman's back in 1984 before I even moved out here. I was here visiting my brother and he took me out to the original shop in NWM. I have since then bought many bows from Ron over the years. This time as luck would have it I actually ordered the bow from tha Archer's Nook in London Ontario, with whom I dealt when I was living there. Ron is a great guy, and I would have prfererred to deal with him, but the guys at the Nook were very helpful, had a good price, and thought they thought they had a better delivery date, although I doubt it would be any different that Ron's. I'll save a bit on the taxes too, and the shipping wasn't too bad. I may regret it, because Ron has always given great service after the sale, and his trade in deals are outstanding. We'll see.
I'll be curious to hear what kind of distance the 3D module gives you. I think the price is about the same as a 1400.
Hope you are having happy holidays.
