My first year of bowhunting, excitement abounds and sleepless nights already hound me. I plan on focusing my hunting efforts on whitetails inside heavily forested parkland and will be primarily using ambush and spot n stalk, trying to take advantage of feeding areas and known bedding areas as well. Once the pre-rut kicks in i will focus on calling and trying to trick a cagey buck into range but a doe will do me just fine too.
Anybody have any tips on pre-season scents to use or would they just complicate things at this early stage?
