Does anyone have a picture of a proper way to grip a compoubd bow? I know there are different ways but if anyone has a picture of their own grip, I would appreciate it.
I have looked on the net but I cant seem to find any photos.
Thanks

Thanks for the picture. Excellent view.
Should my elbow be pointing down, at a 45 degree angle, or out to the side?

I'm not 100% sure myself but I believe your elbow is supposed to be to your side and parallel with the ground... that being said, it may have a lot more to do with preference than anything.

I am by no means a coach or an expert ...but a proper grip (IMHO is the wrong word) a proper way to hold a bow while at draw is one that is comfortable ..... and one that does not affect the flight of the arrow when released.

the pic that Wookie posted is a perfect example of the "textbook " grip ...it may or maynot work for you ....

experiment a little ....have someone help you

Here is a picture of my grip. In both photos, notice how relaxed the bow hand is.
