Here's a couple photo's of a couple bucks that got shot right under my nose when I lived back in New Brunswick. They were both taken with rifles during the rut. The first one was shot 500 yards from a house I lived in for 2 years by a guy from Pa. who had never been in that piece of woods before. The buck walked within 20 yards of him and was in a total stupor, unlucky for the buck. He was featured in North American Whitetail Mag and is said to be the highest grossing typical of all time at 234 gross and net 198 B&C. The second one my brother in law shot three hundred yards from the stand I was sitting in and it grossed 220 and netted 206 nontypical . It was featured in Buckmasters and Rack Magizine. I didn't get to shoot them but I did get to do the taxidermy work on my brother in laws and I did a replica of the other one. Allthough you can't see all the points in the photo's the first one is 17 points and the second 16 points. They get a good deal of their score from great tine length and great main beams length of around 29 inches. Both bucks were narrow in spread for their size at less than 19 inches and had average beam circumference of 5.5 inches. A couple great eastern whitetails!!
