Custom strings help ina few ways. One they are pre stretched so they won't stretch over the life of the string. This will help them to last longer as long as you wax them and care for them. This will also help to keep your bow better tuned as the sting and cables won't be moving all the time. You will have no peep rotation either which will allow you to get rid of the rubber tubing and go to a Trupeep type peep. In my opinion you should change both because of the two different string materials. Your custom string won't stretch but your cables will continue to stretch. I have a Winner's choice string on my bow right now and am awaiting cables for it. I haven't been to impressed with the wait time for these as I have had to order them twice now since Sept. and they still haven't shown up. I don't know whether the problem is there or through where my local shop orders them through. We have two other sponsors here on the Bowzone. They are Prostrings and Wolfden bowstrings. Check the rview section to read the reviews.

I have heard of some good winter springs in around Bowen Isl. and Horseshoe Bay, but haven't been out. Steelhead are just starting to pickup here and should be in full swing in Jan.

One other thing I forgot about custom string is that you can order a variety of differnet colours. That will look great, and isn't that what it is all about looking cool :D 8)
