Hey Guys,
Just wanted to throw this out for you guys. I've shot 3D at the CAC for about 10 years now. I actually ended up winnin a shoot there, as I was in the youth category when I was about 14 and made it to the 'finals' and managed to get a good shot with my old PSE Spirit. Last year was the first year I shot a round over 500 and I was pretty pleased as I've been trying to break 500 for about 2 years. I think I shot a 507 or a 510.
My question for you guys, is how have you become sponsered by a company, or become a 'professional' 3D shooter? What does it take to get to that 'class' of shooter. I'm not really talking about practice, etc but more how you can actually accomplish something like this and gain a sponsorship or become a "Team Shooter" such as some of you are with the CAC, etc......
I've never pursued 3D archery very hard, and have only shot at the CAC.....have shot with a few of the guys on the board here. Just wantin to know 'what it takes'.....Any response would be appreciated....
