Someone here where I live , had told me pope & young rules are changing from 65% let off to 80% is changing in January. how true is that?
Also I'm thinking purchasing a hoyt magitek compound bow last years style, 1/2 cam ( double) can someone give me some feed back on this bow? is it good for 3-D shooting?

:D yes they did change it ... if you get a P&Y animal with 80% let off you get an * beside your name ... the * wouldnt bother me its still an animal that you harvested legally and to be proud that you made it in the books

Who cares 65% letoff or 80%, a bow kill is a bow kill. They make it sound like if you use a high letoff you have a great advantage. Getting the chance to take a shot is the real hard part. I really dont see why they have to put a * beside your name if it was killed with a 80% letoff bow , big deal!

you are right sir it shouldnt make a difference its still harder to harvest an animal with a bow than it is with a rifle .... the change must have come from pressure from the bow manufacturers because of the changes the made to their bows to me .. i see it the way you do ..it doesn't matter.put yourself in my shoes i've got a bull moose rack in my garage that is 65'' and cant enter it killed it with my car lol... or do they have a special section for those toooo lol
