Hey there cdnarcher, Where have you been? Have you done the Wainwright hunt yet ? Whats it like up there? I have a friend that has a hunt there this weekend but he might not go, Should I tell him to get his ass up there or not?

Tell him to go. There is a ton of HUGE bucks, the only problem is they are running scared now from the hunting pressure. I got a long range running shot at a large WT on Wednesday that I guestimate would have went 170 or 175 typ. An absolute monster. Another hunter anchored a typical muley in the 195 range. Over the three days I was there probably 15 Wt and Muley bucks taken, with several in the 140 to 155 range. Lots of does taken plus several moose. On a side note, I jumped a bedded moose on a ridge at 15 yards that was a minumum 55 inch spread. A true monster. I wish i Would have had a tag for him. All in all a truly great hunt, even though I had to make the long drive home empty handed. Tell your bud to go, this hunt should not be missed.
