The 1st deer i ever got with a bow was was a Montgomery ward standard hunter model of 62#. I loaned it to someone and they lost it? I got a 120# spike buck with it at 17 yrds. But i still have 3 recurves that i get 2 of them out and play with from time to time. 1 is a 25#er shakspeare and the other is a 37#er Root bow. charlie

The Firehawk that I have is superb.It only weighs 19 ounces, and is a joy to shoot.Very smooth draw and no stacking at all.There is absolutely no buzz or hand shock.Rodney's workmanship and design are flawless.

i will be hunting with my longbow and recurve as well as my compound thi syear but i will definately be working on taking an animal later this spring with the either or both of my traditional bows. sometime in may i plan on a trip with my dad and break in my d. quillan longbow and my browning wasp recurve.we're going after porky piggie for sure. i am really looking forward to shooting a pig and takng it down. will be a first and have been shooting both and doing pretty good shooting small saucer groups out to 20 yards plus but feel i should make sure i am inside 20 yards for my first shot at a pig
