Considering a change to 2.5" or 3" vanes... no idea if these are also effective for hunting... any comments/recommendations would be appreciated. Currently shooting 4" vanes on ICS Hunter 340's.

Thanks.

There are 2" blazer vanes available from Bohning that claim to staibilize fixed blade broadheads, I have shot these and the point of impact was approx. 3/4" off at 30 yds. There are also the N.A. P. Quickspins that you might want to look at

I tried those 2 in. bazers with montec bh thy worked great indoors but outside in a slite breeze i didn`t like them i would use a 4 in. fletch. But each to his own.

I'll agree with diller, with a fixed blade, your gonna need bigger fletchings, if your shooting mech's, then they should work well.

best way is to try all and pick the one you want, personally I am going to stick with a 4" vane becaude I knpw they work and in a hunting situation I refuse to take a chance

why would you go to small vanes for hunting. No smaller than 4 in should be used.
